Ally has been a member of the AWAKE board since 2016. She earned her Bachelors of Arts degree from Luther College in Decorah, IA in 2012. She earned her Masters of Music Education and Kodály Certification at Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, WI in 2019. She is certified in the Kodály approach, as well as John Feierabend's First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege. She is currently working on her Social-Emotional Learning certification from Rutgers University. She has presented workshops on Social-Emotional Learning in the general music classroom, and has served as a guest clinician working with high school choirs on South African and Namibian choral music. Ally also serves as Vice President of Greater Milwaukee Orff Dimensions, an affiliate chapter of AOSA. She has been teaching since 2014 and is currently teaching in the Elmbrook School District. Ally is an active member of the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus.
Corinne has been a member of the AWAKE board since 2019. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI, in 2012. In 2018, she earned her Master of Music in Music Education - Kodály Emphasis from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, WI. She is currently working on her Certificate in Teaching World Music from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Corinne holds certification in Kodály, John Feierabend’s First Steps in Music, and Conversational Solfege. She has been teaching elementary general music in the Pulaski Community School District since 2013, where she was recognized as a Golden Apple Teacher of Distinction in 2018. In 2019, Corinne presented her in-depth M.M. research on sea chanteys at the Music of the Sea Symposium during the 40th annual Sea Music Festival at Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, CT. Corinne also serves as the Elementary General Music Chair on the Wisconsin Music Educators Association Council.
Sherry has been a member of the AWAKE board since 2014.
She earned her Bachelors of Music degree and Kodály Certificate from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, WI in 2001. In 2003 she completed her Level 1 Orff-Schulwerk training at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. She earned her Masters in Education from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI in 2009. Sherry has been teaching general music in the Kewaskum School District since 2001.
Cassie has been a member of the AWAKE board since 2019. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI in 2014. She is currently working on her Masters of Music Education degree and Kodály Certification from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, WI. She is currently certified in John Feierabend's First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege Level 1 and 2. Cassie has been teaching since 2015 and is currently teaching K-5 general music and 6-8 choral music in the Pulaski Community School District. In addition, she is the choir director at St. John Lutheran Church in De Pere, WI and is a private studio instructor.
Cathy has been Treasurer of AWAKE since 2002 and was a Member-at-Large prior to that. She taught elementary music at SS. Peter and Paul in Kiel, St. Joseph School in Stratford, and spent 27 years in the Columbus Catholic Schools in Marshfield before retiring in 2015 after 32 years of teaching. She presently teaches private lessons and does in-home care where she shares music with her clients. She lives with her husband of 27 years, Bill, and their two dogs, Jim and Laddie, on the Big Eau Pleine Flowage near Stratford, WI.
Brittany has been a member of the AWAKE board since 2017. She graduated from St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI with a Bachelors of Music degree in 2010. She earned her Masters of Music in Music Education with a Kodály emphasis at Holy Family College (formerly Silver Lake College) in Manitowoc, WI in 2020. She is certified in the Kodály approach, as well as John Feierabend's First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege. Brittany is currently working toward completing her Orff Levels and completed her Level 1 Orff-Schulwerk training in 2021 at Lakeland University in Plymouth, WI. She began teaching in 2010 and is currently teaching K-5 general music in the Cedarburg School District.
Naomi has been a member of the AWAKE board since 2019. She is a choir teacher at Eleva Strum Middle and High School which is located near Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Most of her teaching experience is with middle and high school age students in private lessons and choirs. She completed Kodaly Level III and a Masters degree in Music Education at Silver Lake College.
