2024 CLINICIAN BIOGRAPHY- Mrs. Michelle Klotz

We are please to announce Michelle Klotz as our Guest Clinician for the 2024 AWAKE Choral Festival. Michelle Beschta Klotz has been teaching kids through music since 1990 ranging in age from infants to college students. Her path has included middle school and high school choral music, early childhood and elementary general and choral music, private piano and voice instruction and church music. A requested clinician for regional and state choral festivals, Ms. Klotz was recently seen as the accompanist for the Wisconsin State Honors Project Treble Honors Choir (2022, 2023), as a clinician for the Beyond the Notes Music Festival and the Big East Honors Choral, and as the accompanist for the WCDA Collegiate Honors Festival. Her students have performed all over the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York City, St. Martin of the Fields in London, and with such prestigious groups as the New York Voices, Present Music, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Klotz’s students are routinely awarded highest honors in performance competitions at both the state and national levels and have earned countless scholarships and performance opportunities under her guidance. Many of Ms. Klotz’s students have continued their performing arts pursuits to become great performers, teachers, and coaches in a wide variety of musical fields. A section leader for the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus for the last nine years, Michelle was a soloist for the 2022 Holiday Pops with the MSO. She has been honored with the Good Shepherd Award for exemplary leadership in teaching and was named to the Menomonee Falls High School Performing Arts Hall of Fame in 2016. In Spring, 2023, Ms. Klotz accepted the position of Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Sebastian Parish in Milwaukee. Her greatest source of pride is her incredible family, husband Andreas and daughters Gabriella and Isabella.
